"Hold Of Me" 2012 edit - FREE DOWNLOAD wav

Rocky Marsiano "Hold Of Me - 2012 edit" (FREE DOWNLOAD wav) by rockymarsiano

If there is a track that I can call my "hit" than it has to be "Hold Of Me". Maybe cause it´s been played so much on the radio back in Lisbon... well, who cares.
The story behind this joint is simple: when I was making my "The Pyramid Sessions" album back in 2004 I felt the need for that missing song to make the story complete. I got together with my mate Rui Miguel Abreu, aka, Buddha - one of Lisbon´s infamous crate diggaz (word!) and he provided the main samples for the track.
Now in 2012 I felt the need to make the track a bit more bumpy and bring in some of the influences I have gone through these last 8 years... FREE DOWNLOAD so enjoy it!

On my way to Portland Sound Studios

Somehow I really like the scenic balance at this Amsterdam Metro station... its where I always switch lines when going to www.portlandsoundstudios.com

Last flavours of 2011

Rua do Bacalhau, Lisbon. Just imagine if there were some vinyl stacks around all these flavours... those beats would be sick. Vintage Port snares, tuna fish basslines... mmmmm

Drum exploration

Sometimes you have to dig deep into your own vinyl collection and find these... most were bought in the late 90s and were for a long time forgotten. Am not a big fan of already looped drums but as a way to build a new track from the ground up, it is pretty dope...

In The Lab: messin with Orelha Negra

I decided to take one of my favorite tracks by Orelha Negra and rework it in a soulful house style:

Testing 1, 2

It was about time I started my own blog...
